THE SUPREMACY OF CHRISTIAN BEHAVIOR
Hebrews 13:1-21
We believe we have a better and lasting possession in Christ by faith. This unseen substance called faith is to be seen in the way we live which can be seen. Authentic saving faith will produce a life that is a sweet fragrance to God. No amount of works will ever produce faith, but true faith will produce works that will last and stand the test of fire!

QUESTIONS:
We now enter into the last chapter of Hebrews and we will see the author goes into a list of exhortations to the believer. This is the closing chapter. He has shown you the value of Christ, what he has accomplished, how we are to have faith, how we are to run, and now some closing encouragements to send you off to continue your race of faith. These are the practical ethics a Christian is to live by. Living by these ethics does not earn grace but demonstrates to a lost world the life your object of faith transforms your life to be.
With the paragraph above in mind…what is the first exhortation the author gives us? Why do you think he gives this first? What other verse can you think of that exhorts us to love our brothers?
Not only are we to love our brothers, but we are to love another group as well. In v. 2 who does the author say we should extend love to?
I know what you’re thinking, did this verse just say what I think it said about angels? Let’s start here first…what do you think this verse is saying?
Has anyone ever entertained or served an angel without fully knowing it? Read Genesis 18:1-8, 19:1-2, Judges 6:11-24, 13:6-20. Explain what you think.
Should loving and serving be motivated by angels? Why or why not?
As long as we are “in the body” and living out our faith as we should, persecution will come. Why are we the best people to visit others in jail and those who are mistreated?
